Missing Winston-Salem man with cognitive impairment found dead

Gregory Monte Holley-Williams, 26, was found deceased on Sunday.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem man has been found dead after going missing last Monday, the city's police department announced.

Gregory Monte Holley-Williams, 26,  was last seen on September 16 leaving on foot the area of the 400 block of East 33rd in Winston-Salem. On Sept. 22 at approximately 5 p.m. Winston-Salem Police said officers responded to the 3000 block of Indiana Avenue and found a deceased male on scene.

The man was eventually identified as Holley-Williams. WSPD said foul play is not suspected in this case.

Williams was reported missing to the Winston-Salem Police Department on Sept. 22. He was said to have a cognitive impairment.

Winston-Salem Police said further confirmed information will be released "as appropriate." There was no information on Holley-Williams' cause of death.
