These Triad restaurants have one thing in common — a thief raiding them

High Point police say a suspect(s) is wanted for several break-ins across the city, where they stole multiple safes, a cash register, and even cookies.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police need help identifying the suspect(s) tied to multiple restaurant break-ins.

The High Point Police Department (HPPD) responded to similar break-ins at seven businesses between May 17 and June 8.

Each break-in happened between the hours of 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., police said.

HPPD said the suspect(s) broke a door or window to get inside the restaurant before they stole the cash register or a safe.

Investigators said the suspect(s) may be connected to similar crimes in at least eight other cities in the Triad and Triangle regions across the state.

Police described them as a black man, approximately 6’2’’.

The Crime Spree:

May 17, 2024 – Firehouse Subs (5815 Samet Drive) - Suspect busted glass on the door and stole cash from a safe 

June 2, 2024 – Jersey Mike’s Subs (4835 W. Wendover Avenue) - Suspect broke glass panel and stole a safe 

June 2, 2024 – Jersey Mike’s Subs (2620 S. Main Street) - Suspect broke glass on the front door; nothing was reported stolen from the store 

June 6, 2024 – Porter House Burger Company (5836 Samet Drive) - Suspect shattered the bottom half of the front glass door and stole a safe 

June 6, 2024 – Sweet Dough Bake Shop (2758 NC 68) - Suspect broke out a window to the store and stole a register 

June 8, 2024 – Jersey Mike’s Subs (2620 S. Main Street) - Suspect broke the front window and stole packages of cookies, brownies, and chips 

June 8, 2024 – Subway (4701 Piedmont Parkway) - Suspect broke glass on the front door; unknown if anything was stolen

HPPD is looking for this person accused of breaking into multiple restaurants.

Detectives with the High Point Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers of High Point at 336.889.4000 or by downloading the P3 Tips mobile app. Tips are anonymous. Callers with successful tips could receive a reward of up to $5,000.
