Donald Trump visits Wilmington for campaign rally on Saturday

Trump's visit to North Carolina comes off the heels of a CNN report about Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson’s alleged posts on a pornography website’s message board.

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Former President Donald Trump is expected to speak at a campaign rally in Wilmington on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 2:00 p.m., according to his campaign website. The rally will take place at Wilmington's Aero Center.

Trump’s last official rally in North Carolina was when he visited Asheboro in August.

The rally comes days after CNN released a report about Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson’s alleged posts on a pornography website’s message board. Robinson is not expected to speak or be present at Saturday’s rally.

Last week, Trump faced an assassination attempt at his golf club in Florida. Ryan Routh, the suspect in Trump’s assassination attempt, has ties to the Greensboro area.

Both Vice President Kamala Harris and Trump have visited North Carolina over the past month. Harris held two rallies in Charlotte and Greensboro earlier this month. Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance is expected to speak to voters in Charlotte on Monday.

Harris appeared in Georgia and Wisconsin on Friday for campaign events, according to the Associated Press.
