COLFAX, N.C. — Mark Robinson was seen outside his Colfax, NC home with his wife Yolanda for the first time since CNN dropped a bombshell report on the Republican nominee for North Carolina governor.
CNN reported on Thursday that Robinson referred to himself as a "black NAZI" and made numerous comments that were lewd and sexual in nature on a pornography forum years ago.
CBS reporter Libby Cathey spotted Robinson outside his home on Friday and attempted to ask him questions about the CNN report.
"Lieutenant Governor. Do you have anything to say about the CNN reporting?" asked Cathey.
Robinson, on the phone, said "Hold on a second. I gotta, I gotta, I gotta hold on, I gotta call you back that - you hear me? I gotta call back."
"I'm with CBS News. Do you have anything to say about the CNN reporting? You are not dropping out of the race? Correct?" asked Cathey.
Robinson did not comment and walked inside his home.
Before the CNN report went live, Robinson posted a video to his X account denying the allegations and said he was staying in the race.
