LIBERTY, N.C. — Construction crews are making progress on the nearly $14 billion Toyota Battery Manufacturing Facility at the Greensboro-Randolph Megasite where 5,000 people will work.
The company shared this new video of all the progress.
The roof is complete on buildings one through three. They've broken ground on building four. In all, there will be seven buildings.
The video shows the many machines, equipment, and workers needed to build the massive campus in Liberty.
Battery production is set to start early next year. More than 700 people have been hired so far. The company plans to increase the number of employees to 1,600 by the end of the year.
