Grove Park Inn announces reopening date

Here's when you'll be able to stay at the famous Asheville hotel.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville has announced when it will finally reopen its doors to guests following Hurricane Helene.

According to the hotel's Facebook page, the Main Inn will welcome guests for overnight stays on Friday, November 15. Dining will also be available for overnight guests.

The Grove Park Inn spa has already reopened, as well as the golf course.

Last month, the Grove Park Inn announced that the 2024 edition of the National Gingerbread House Competition was canceled. Since then, the hotel says "competitors have graciously opted to bring their edible creations to be displayed for visitors and locals to view at the resort and local businesses."

"Western North Carolina has displayed remarkable strength, and as Asheville reopens, we’re honored to welcome visitors back to our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains," Omni Grove Park Inn Managing Director Gary Froeba said in a statement. "We are grateful to be reopening, especially in time for the holidays, as this is a meaningful step in our shared journey of recovery, one that brings hope and support to our community. Tourism holds an important role in Western North Carolina’s path forward, and each visit brings encouragement to our employees, neighbors, and friends as we work together to rebuild and heal.”
