WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 21-year-old man is facing involuntary manslaughter along with other charges after he ran a red light and killed a woman in Winston-Salem, police say.
Officers responded to the intersection of Stanleyville Drive and Old Hollow Road where a Dodge Charger crashed into a Nissan Juke just after 10 p.m. on April 17th.
Cedric Glenn, the driver of the Dodge Charger, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Nissan Juke, Samantha Burgan, 19, died at the scene.
After an investigation, detectives said Glenn was going northeast on Stanleyville Drive when he ran a red light and entered the intersection at Old Hollow Road, hitting Burgan on the driver's side.
Winston-Salem police said Glenn has since turned himself in as he is facing the following charges:
- Involuntary Manslaughter
- Speeding (78 mph in a 35 mph zone)
- Failure to Stop at a Steady Red Light
- Driving the Wrong Way on a Roadway
- Careless and Reckless Driving
- Failure to Wear a Seatbelt
- Window Tint Violation
Glenn received an unsecured of $100,000.
