WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 19-year-old woman is dead after a man ran a red light and killed her, Winston-Salem police say.
Officers responded to the intersection of Stanleyville Drive and Old Hollow Road where the crash happened just after 10 p.m. Monday.
Officers noticed a Dodge Charger and Nissan Juke collided.
Driver of the Dodge Charger, Cedric Glenn, 21, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Driver of the Nissan Juke, Samantha Burgan, 19, died at the scene.
Investigation revealed that Glenn was going northeast on Stanleyville Drive when he ran a red light entering the intersection at Old Hollow Road, hitting Burgan on the driver side.
This investigation is still in its early stages.
