World of Beer will honor server who died after hit-and-run crash in Greensboro

The celebration of life will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 16.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A celebration of life is being held this weekend to honor and remember a woman who died after a vehicle crash on I-40 in October

World of Beer Bar & Kitchen will hold the celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The woman, Priscilla Keene, 30, of Greensboro, was a server at the restaurant. The restaurant said in a post on their Facebook page that they are hosting a fundraiser for her family from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Saturday.

On Oct. 26 at 12:29 a.m., a 2014 Infiniti Q50 was traveling east on I-40 and struck the rear of a 2007 Acura RDX.

The Acura traveled off the highway to the left, struck a guardrail, and then rolled over. Keene was the front passenger. She was ejected from the car.

Keene died as a result of her injuries, according to the Greensboro Police Department.

The driver of the Acura was Travis Bayne, 37, of Greensboro. Bayne and a 3-year-old child in the vehicle had non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Infiniti fled the scene, and the vehicle became disabled and abandoned, according to police.
