The endangered species whose defense mechanism looks cute and cuddly, can be easily identified by its ruddy colored fur. Which can act as camouflage in the trees, according to the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology institute.

Red pandas have a pseudo-thumb to grab bamboo when feeding due to its modified wrist bone. When temperatures are low, red pandas can go dormant. It's a technique that lowers their metabolic rate and raises it when they need to wake up and search for food.

Red pandas typically grow between 8 and 17 pounds, reaching a height of 22 to 24.6 inches tall, with a tail growing as long as 14.6 to 18.6 inches long!
