GREENSBORO, N.C. — The college football season is officially in full swing, and fans across North Carolina are excited to see their favorite teams play against one another.
Three N.C. schools will face off on the field Saturday with NC A&T set to renew its rivalry with WSSU and North Carolina set to host Charlotte.

Charlotte at North Carolina (3:30 p.m.)
The Tar Heels will host Charlotte in their first home game at Kenan Memorial Stadium. This is the first time the two schools will match off against each other.
Charlotte lost 30-7 to James Madison in its season-opener last week. while UNC traveled to the Midwest and won 19-17 against Minnesota despite losing quarterback Max Johnson to a season-ending leg injury.
East Carolina at Old Dominion (6:00 p.m.)
Old Dominion will challenge the Pirates at S.B. Ballard Stadium in Norfolk on Saturday night. The last time the two teams played against each other was almost two years ago, when ECU dominated the Big Blue in a 39-21 game.
ECU had a big 42-3 win against Norfolk State in a home game last week, while Old Dominion had a narrow 23-19 loss against South Carolina in an away game.
Elon at NC Central (6:00 p.m.)
In their first home game of 2024, NC Central will take on the Phoenix at O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium in Durham. Elon hosted NC Central in a home game last season and lost 34-23.
NC Central defeated Alabama State last week, 34-21. Elon played an away game last week against Duke and suffered a 26-3 loss.
Virginia at Wake Forest (7:00 p.m.)
The Demon Deacons will host Virginia in their second home game at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium in Winston-Salem. The game marks the first time the two schools will challenge one another since 2021. The Demon Deacons have won five games in a row against the Cavaliers.
Both teams are coming off of big wins last week. Wake Forest dominated NC A&T and won 45-13, while Virginia won 34-13 in a home game against Richmond.
Winston-Salem State at NC A&T (7:00 p.m.)
The Aggies and the Rams will face each other at Truist Stadium in Greensboro on Saturday night. It will be the first time since 2010 that the two teams will play against each other and renew their rivalry.
NC A&T is coming off a 45-13 loss against Wake Forest last week, and Winston-Salem State won 34-3 in an away game at Bluefield State University in West Virginia.
The game is expected to host a large turnout of fans from across the Triad.
Tennessee at NC State (7:30 p.m.)
The Wolfpack will take on the Tennessee Volunteers at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. NC State and Tennessee have played each other four times all time, but only one other time this century. Their last faceoff was in 2012, when Tennessee beat NC State in a 35-21 game.
Tennessee had a huge 69-3 win last week against Chattanooga, and NC State defeated Western Carolina, 38-21.
App State at Clemson (8:00 p.m.)
The Mountaineers will travel south to Clemson to battle it out against the Tigers on Saturday night. The last time App State played against Clemson was in 2015, when they lost 41-10 away from home.
App State defeated East Tennessee State, 38-10, in its season-opener last weekend, while Clemson lost 34-3 against Georgia in their first game of the season.
