GREENSBORO, N.C. — The football field saw several teams from North Carolina face against each other last weekend. UNC clinched a victory over Charlotte, while NC State’s loss to Tennessee kicked them out of the AP Top 25 College Football rankings.
Week 3 of the season brings two teams from the southeast to the Tar Heel state and four more matches between North Carolina schools.

Louisiana Tech at NC State (12:00 p.m.)
The Wolfpack is going head-to-head with Louisiana Tech in a home game at Carter-Finley Stadium. This will be the third time the two teams have played against each other, and NC State won the last two matchups.
NC State is coming off the heels of a loss to the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers. Louisiana Tech had a 25-17 win against Nicholls State in a home game on Aug. 31.
Delaware at NC A&T (1:00 p.m.)
The Aggies will host Delaware in a home game on Saturday afternoon. The two schools have gone against each other two other times, and last year Delaware won 21-6 against NC A&T.
NC A&T won against Winston-Salem State in overtime last week. In the game Delaware played on Aug. 29, they had a 48-17 win over the Bryant Bulldogs.
App State at East Carolina (4:00 p.m.)
The East Carolina Pirates and the App State Mountaineers will face off at the Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville. The two teams have played against each other over 30 times, and App State won 43-28 in a home game against East Carolina last season.
Last Saturday, App State took on the Clemson Tigers in an away game and had a 66-20 loss. East Carolina grabbed a 20-14 win last week in an away game against Old Dominion.
Connecticut at Duke (6:00 p.m.)
The Duke Blue Devils will host the Connecticut Huskies at the Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham. Duke traveled to East Hartford, Connecticut for an away game against Connecticut last year and came away with a 41-7 win.
Connecticut won their home game last week against Merrimack College. Duke had a close game with Northwestern but beat them 26-20.
Western Carolina at Elon (6:00 p.m.)
The Western Carolina Catamounts will match off against Elon in their first home game at the Rhodes Stadium. Saturday’s game will be the first time the two teams have played each other since 2013.
Western Carolina lost in a 24-16 game last week against the Campbell Fighting Camels, and the Elon Phoenix won 41-19 in an away game in Durham when they faced NC Central.
NC Central at UNC (6:00 p.m.)
The UNC Tar Heels are hosting the NC Central Eagles in a home game at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill. The game will be the second in a series of three home games in a row for UNC.
UNC is currently 2-0 for the season and won 38-20 in their game against Charlotte last weekend. NC Central lost against the Elon Phoenix last week.
Gardner-Webb at Charlotte (6:00 p.m.)
The Charlotte 49ers have a home game against the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs on Saturday evening. The game will mark the fifth time that the two teams meet each other on the football field. Charlotte won 38-10 in a home game against Gardner-Webb last season.
Last week, Charlotte lost against UNC and Gardner-Webb lost against the James Madison Dukes in an away game.
Ole Miss at Wake Forest (6:30 p.m.)
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will challenge the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels in a home game at the Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium. The last matchup between Ole Miss and Wake Forest was in 2008.
Ole Miss had a 52-3 win against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders last week. Wake Forest took on Virginia last Saturday and lost in a 31-30 game.
