Trump visited Greensboro on Saturday ahead of the North Carolina primary to speak to his supporters while also endorsing, Mark Robinson for Governor, Dan Bishop for Attorney General, and Virginia Foxx, Tim Moore, and Addison McDowell for Congress.
"I stand before you today, not only as your past and hopefully future president but as a proud political dissident," Trump said.
Haley also held a campaign rally in Charlotte on Friday and is facing an increasingly unsurmountable battle, after losing recent primary elections.
Our sister station in Charlotte asked Haley a few questions regarding crime and policing.
"Law enforcement is demoralized because they go in and arrest someone for a crime, and they are let out the next day. The second thing, defund sanctuary cities. We need to get the lawlessness out of our cities, or else it’s going to keep on happening. We need to also take on the cancer of mental health. One in three people have a mental health issue, if treated they can live a perfectly normal life. We have to start tackling that and understanding that. If we don’t treat it, this is going to continue to happen," Haley said.
Trump won the Republican Presidential Primary in South Carolina, defeating Nikki Haley in her home state. Haley said despite the loss, she plans to stay in the race. Haley went on to win the primary in Washington D.C.
