GREENSBORO, N.C. — Did your vote count? The way to find out is free and simple.
Start at The North Carolina Board of Elections website. Then you will click on the Voter Search tab. It brings you to a page where you enter your name, birth year, and the county you voted in. Then click the Search button.
The website will bring up your name. To view the information for voter history, click on your name.
If you voted by mail or early voting:
You will scroll down on your information page to see the section titled YOUR BALLOT: BY MAIL OR EARLY VOTING. You'll see information on the Election Day date, county, voting method, and the day you voted. You're looking for Ballot Status and Vote Status.
If you voted in person on Election Day:
You will look at the Voter History section and the latest election will be added at the top of the list.
Don't be worried if you don't see it yet...
According to the NCSBOE:
While voter history is updated after each election, it's after your county has gone through the process of assigning voter history to all voters' records. This may take a couple of weeks or longer...
Remember, the voter SEARCH shows you WHEN you voted not who you voted for.
