WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Two North Carolina men were found guilty of charges related to their roles during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, according to CBS affiliate WNCN.
21-year-old Christopher Carnell and 22-year-old David Worth Bowman, both from the Triangle, were found guilty of six different charges, including obstruction of an official proceeding.
In addition, the men were also convicted of the following:
- Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds
- Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds
- Entering and remaining on the floor of Congress
- Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building
- Parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building
Carnell and Bowman are among 25 others from North Carolina who've been charged in connection to the Jan. 6. attacks.
They are scheduled to be sentenced in June.
