LEXINGTON, N.C. — North Carolinians might just have the best of luck when it comes to scratch-off tickets.

No, seriously... you might have a better chance at winning from a scratch-off ticket than the Powerball.

One lucky man in Lexington bought a $25 scratch-off ticket, winning a $100,000 prize.

Aurelio Agustin said he purchased the ticket from Jol Food Mart on Lake Road right off I-85 in Thomasville.

He took home $71,507 after taxes.

The Spectacular Riches game debuted in October 2021 with eight $1 million top prizes and 20 $100,000 prizes. Two $1 million prizes and three $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.

For details on how $9.7 million raised by the lottery made a difference for education programs in Davidson County last year, visit www.nclottery.com and click on the “Impact” section.
