REIDSVILLE, N.C. — You'd scream too if you won the lottery right? That's what one Reidsville woman did.
Candy Oliver said she brought her lucky $5 Money Bag scratch-off ticket from the Shell gas station in Gibsonville on N.C. 87.
Once she went to her truck, she started scratching that ticket, and after seeing $100,000, she immediately began to celebrate.
“I started screaming,” she laughed, “until I was out of breath.”
The Money Bag game debuted on Dec. 29, 2023.
“I like to buy the new scratch-offs when they come out,” she said.
Oliver said she didn’t know how to react when she saw she won.
“I was overwhelmed,” she recalled. “I couldn’t believe it.”
She took home $71,501 after taxes.
“I’m just really, really happy,” Oliver said.
