Triad man wins $100K from new lottery scratch-off ticket

HIGH POINT, N.C. — One North Carolina man is heading into the weekend with a pocket full of money!

Mark Douglas from High Point took a risk with a $20 scratch-off ticket and became the first winner of the $100,000 prize in a new lottery game, Instant Millions. 

Douglas bought his winning ticket in Jamestown at the Quick Mart on West Main Street. 

He took home $71,506 after federal and state taxes. 

Instant Millions debuted this month with four $2 million top prizes and eight $100,000 prizes. Three $2 million prizes and seven $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
