Wait times at the polls: How to check how long you'll wait at Early Voting locations

Voters in Guilford and Forsyth can check times at locations before they head out.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's time to vote and it takes time to vote. If you vote in Guilford or Forsyth County, you can now look at the Early Voting wait times.

The interactive map allows you to see the Early Voting locations. Each is pinpointed by a colored circle. Red circles have the longest wait times. Green circles have the shortest times. When you click on one of the circles,  it tells you the address of the Early Voting site, the wait time and the times the location is open.

Forsyth County voters, you can find the wait times on the Board of Elections home page. Guilford County voters, you'll go to the home page and click the Early Voting tab. The second bullet point is where you'll find the voting wait times on the Early Voting page. Click HERE for Guilford County Waiting times and HERE for Forsyth County Waiting times.

2 Wants To Know is answering your questions about all the political mail. Every day there are flyers and pamphlets. A voter said she's emailed the state parties, asking them to take her name off the mailing list, but she gets them anyway.

Can you do anything about it?

"You can request it, but they are not required by law to do that. They are simply getting those mailers out as quick as possible and they're not going through the list and saying, Jane called, she wants to be off the list," said Thom Little, UNCG Political Science Professor.

2 Wants To Know put together 10 minutes of election-related questions and a step-by-step guide for folks filling out absentee ballots. You can find it on WFMY+ and watch it anytime.
