There are three big events going on in Greensboro this weekend!

Local law enforcement agencies say they are expecting thousands of people throughout the city.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — If you're looking for things to do this weekend.

There are three events going on in Greensboro: The North Carolina Folk Festival, the Central Carolina Fair, and the North Carolina A&T VS. Winston-Salem rivalry football game.

Local law enforcement said they are preparing to handle crowds of  thousands.

Greensboro Police said some streets are blocked off for traffic control and to keep people safe.

"We really just wanna create an environment for pedestrians to be able to walk around, enjoy the festivities and not have to worry about vehicular traffic," Deputy Chief Doug Tabler said.

One vender at the event said he is prepared for the influx of people. The owner of Off the Hook Seafood and Chicken Barrington Riddick said he has two trucks at different locations, one at the Folk Festival and another on NC A&T campus.

The HBCU kicks off against Winston-Salem State tomorrow.

It's the first time the teams have played each other since 2010.

Riddick said he made sure to stock up on supplies to feed hungry customers.

"Me and my team, we have enough food and product, it takes a lot of logistics to get everything in order,"  Barrington Riddick shared.

A few miles away North Carolina A&T University Police told us it plans to block off parking in certain areas and have patrol teams spread throughout campus.

"We have our drone program and we have our real-time crime center. We are also partnering with local agencies in the area, Captain John Legrand said.

Local law enforcement told us they will keep an eye on the crowds to ensure everyone is enjoying their time safely.
