They gave their all and now it's time to remember law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.
National Police Week takes place from May 13 through May 19. It's a natural time to remember and honor officers and deputies that served to make us safe at home and in our community.
Officers from around the Triad remind us the job can be physically, mentally and emotionally draining. Having to execute the right action in a highly visible field at all times is hard. Sometimes, the job takes the ultimate sacrifice.
