GREENSBORO, N.C. — It’s a beautiful tribute in honor of North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper, Samuel Bullard who was killed in the line of duty.
Trooper Bullard’s mother, Suzanne Feltz wanted to share photos of his final resting place so the community can honor him.
The headstones are adorned with photos of Bullard and also of him and his family.
One inscription reads, “I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul and to me, this has always been enough.”
Another inscription reads a scripture from the Bible, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of Good.” Matthew 5:9.
Trooper Bullard was from Wikes County but worked in the Surry County office. He died after crashing during a vehicle pursuit when a driver tried to avoid a checkpoint. The 24-year-old was a three-year veteran of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
