LEXINGTON, N.C. — Nancy Bunly has been missing for months. It's left a hole in her close-knit family.
With recent arrests made in the case, her family sees a glimmer of hope but won't rest until they know where she is.
Dropping off coffee and tea, that's what 31-year-old Bunly was doing the last time her parents saw her.
They said she came by their home in Lexington the Saturday before she went missing on September 22.
"She's not that person… to just leave without [telling] the family. She's not that person. She would tell us," Bunly's Mother, Savoeuth Kong said.
Kong describes her daughter as a homebody and a family woman. She said most of Bunly's days were spent going to work, going home, and taking care of her baby girl, Ariel, who just turned 8-months-old.
"Her baby is with me. Her baby is good right now," Kong said.
Lexington Police arrested three people in connection to the disappearance of Bunly: Van Ly Lam, Vienchan Lam, and Jonathan Lam, all charged with felony counts of obstruction of justice.
Bunly's mom said it doesn't bring her daughter home but does bring a sense of peace.
"At least something… at least something… like, it shows something is being done and it helps," Kong said.
Police said the three who were arrested are related to the man Bunly was dating, Ricky Lam. Police said Lam is a person of interest but have not named him as a suspect in Bunly's disappearance.
As for Kong, she just wants her daughter home, "I just wonder where she is. I just want to bring her home."
Bunly was last seen near Finch Park and Abbotts Creek Bridge in Lexington.
Police said be on the look out for a black 2017 Honda Pilot with a license plate that reads: RBA-2896, as it could be connected to Bunly.
