BURLINGTON, N.C. — Alamance county deputies are asking for help in finding 19-year-old Antwain McDaniel. Police say the last time he was seen was around 4:00 a.m. Sunday.
Police say a friend last saw him getting out of a vehicle after a crash on Durham Street Extension and Routh Road in Burlington. He has not been seen or heard from since the accident and his condition is unknown.
His mother told WFMY News 2's Nixon Norman she is extremely worried about him.
"He was only 19-years-old, it's not fair to me, it's not fair to his brothers and sisters and it ain't fair to his daughter," Mother of Antwain McDaniel, Angela McDaniel said.
Angela McDaniel spoke about Antwain McDaniel being a good father, with a daughter turning 1 this summer. She fears about the time that's passed since his disappearance, saying it's leaving her feeling hopeless.
"It's 24, 48, 72 hours… this baby been out here in the cold…" Angela McDaniel said.
Police have a description out for the missing 19-year-old. They say he was wearing a white jacket and white pants. He's about 5'8 and 150 pounds.
"I'm not gonna sleep until my baby is here or until I get a call saying they know where my baby is at," Angela McDaniel said. She begs her son to come home, "baby come home. I don't care what you did. Just bring— just come home."
Search teams were looking for clues near Western Alamance High school Tuesday.
The school district says they were focusing on the Haw River and wooded areas not far from the crash scene.
Investigators say they will pick up their search efforts Wednesday morning.
