GREENSBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) said it's investigating a gas station on South Eugene Street tied to a hit-and-run in Greensboro, where 9 people, including the owner and manager of the "Neighborhood Store," are facing charges.
Investigators said police were called to the scene of a large block party at a Greensboro gas station on 1301 S. Eugene St. about a large crowd, where they later learned someone drove through that crowd, hitting at least 15 people. No one suffered from life-threatening injuries.
The Greensboro Police Department then contacted the ALE, where agents said they found weapons and drugs at the store. The owner and manager are accused of allowing illegal activity on the property. Seven other people are facing misdemeanor charges for performing unlicensed security, according to officials.
