GREENSBORO, N.C. — A suspect vehicle tied to a hit-and-run that injured multiple people in Greensboro, including NC A&T students, has been found Tuesday.
The Greensboro Police Department (GPD) said at least 15 people ages 18 to 22 years old were injured in a hit-and-run on March 29, around 6:31 p.m., on South Eugene and West Whittington Street during a large-scale gathering near a parking lot.
During the gathering, while the crowd was dispersing, a black Nissan sedan was driving east on West Whittington Street when it struck multiple pedestrians. Investigators said the suspect failed to stop at the scene.
GPD said the owner reported that the suspect vehicle was stolen, and the driver was not found. The suspect vehicle was found abandoned at another location.
This investigation is still ongoing as police are working to identify the driver.
