GREENSBORO, N.C. — LATEST: 3-year-old boy and friend die in Greensboro house fire
Two kids were killed in a Greensboro house fire and an adult is in critical condition, according to fire officials.
The house fire happened on the 1800 block of Glenside Drive around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Fire crews said they showed up in less than six minutes after the call.
Greensboro fire crews said two children were inside the house during the fire after an adult told them. Units made the second alarm call.
Fire officials said the adult and children were immediately treated by Guilford County EMS.
Now, one adult is being treated at a hospital and is in critical condition, according to fire officials.
The fire was fully involved when fire crews arrived at the scene. They said the fire reached the attic. By noon they said the fire was extinguished.
Greensboro police said Dodson Street and Chapel Edge Drive are temporarily closed until further notice.
Fire crews and police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
