Thousands of Free Turkeys to be given away in the Triad this Thanksgiving

Triad organizations like Operation Turkey plan to give away 2,000 meals to the homeless and less fortunate this Thanksgiving!

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Those higher prices for basic needs can impact your holiday spirit. That's why triad organizations are making sure everyone has a good thanksgiving meal. 

So where can you can go if you need a turkey?

Operation Turkey Greensboro

Operation Turkey Greensboro will kick off it's Turkey Giveaway on Thanksgiving Day at 10 a.m. - noon. 

Their goal is to deliver 2,000 meals to families in need. The event is open to the public and first come, first served.

Whole Man Ministries 

Whole Man Ministries is hosting a Thanksgiving Giveaway of Turkeys and Fixings on Saturday, November 23rd from 10 a.m. - noon. 

This event is open to the public while supplies last.

Virtua Health & Wellness Center-Camden

Virtua Health & Wellness Center-Camden is hosting a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway on Thursday, November 21st from 10 a.m. - noon. 

The giveaways to local families in Burlington and Camden counties are scheduled take place in Willingboro on Nov. 21 and in Camden on Nov. 22.

The first giveaway will be held at Virtua Willingboro Hospital on Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. at 218 Sunset Road (parking lot behind the hospital) and the second giveaway will be at Virtua Health & Wellness Center-Camden at 10 a.m. at 1000 Atlantic Ave. on Nov. 22.

This is the eighth year that Virtua Health is doing the giveaway.
