Deputy hit, injured in traffic stop in Forsyth County is back home, sheriff's office says

Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough Jr. said the deputy is recovering.

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — A deputy is back home after they were hit and injured by a car Friday during a traffic stop on U.S. 52 in Forsyth County.

Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough Jr. said the deputy is recovering.

"He's home, he's doing fine, and he's recovering from his injury," Sheriff Kimbrough said in a video posted to social media.

Sheriff Kimbrough also thanked the community for their support of the deputy and urged drivers to move over when a deputy or officer has pulled someone over.
