GREENSBORO, N.C. — Wednesday, Feb. 14, marks one month since a High Point mother of five vanished after a night out in Greensboro.
Twenty-five-year-old Marissa Carmichael has been missing since Jan. 14. and since then, her family has been desperate for answers.
She was last reported seen at the Exxon gas station on East Market Street, where Greensboro police said she called 911 around 3:40 a.m., saying a man took her phone and left her at the gas station.
In the 911 call, Marissa Carmichael said, "He told me to come into the store and took off on me. I don't know where I'm at and he took my phone."
In a surveillance video obtained by officers, Marissa Carmichael was seen getting into a vehicle and leaving the gas station. Investigators with the Greensboro Police Department said they have since interviewed a witness tied to this case — the driver of that vehicle.
Marissa Michael's mother, Sara Carmichael said each day it becomes harder to understand how her daughter is still missing.
"It just still doesn't seem real and there are moments that it is too real," she said.
Marissa Carmichael isn't just a mother of five, she's a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Her family said she hasn't been seen or heard from since.
Sara Carmichael said Feb. 14. is difficult for the family, but the search wont stop.
"We have to keep her name, and her face out there. I can't move on with my life. I'm at a standstill, I'm frozen and I can't live normal. I can't enjoy anything. On my mind 24/7 is what's the next step? What can I do? Who else can I get involved to find her," she said.
Anyone with information about Marissa Carmichael's whereabouts is encouraged to call Greensboro/Guilford County Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000.
