WFMY News 2 spoke with The Forsyth County Environmental Assistance and Protection about the pollen numbers in our area and here's what they had to say.

"Last week we saw two high readings for trees a moderate and a low reading when it was a rainy day so it's more or less normal. We might be getting some grass pollen a little bit earlier than normal but the tree pollen seems to be pretty much on schedule," Robert Russ, Senior Environmental Specialist Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection Forsyth County Local Government said.

Russ said there are certain types of trees that will be producing that pollen you're breathing in the air. Birch, Elm, Mulberry to name a few.

We checked this morning with a look at the latest numbers from EAP at Forsyth County:

The pollen forecast for today is expected to be very high for tree pollen. Grass pollens should be moderate and weed pollen that forecasted today to stay low.
