British school closed due to heavy snowfall

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — UPDATE: Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools announced it will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 3 to students and staff.

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools announced it will be operating on a 2-hour delay on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 3 due to freezing overnight temperatures.

The two-hour delay applies to both staff and students, according to the school district.

The Triad will be experiencing very cold temperatures in the overnight on Monday, Dec. 2.

WFMY News 2 has issued a Weather Impact Alert Day from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Be alert and watch out for slick spots on the roads. Some Triad areas could experience scattered snow showers.
