Winston-Salem roadway reopens Sunday morning following crash

The city says the roadway has reopened after a car crash pushed power lines into the roadway.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — As of 7:40 a.m. Sunday morning, Winston-Salem police say University Parkway is back open. 

A Winston-Salem roadway is closed Sunday morning following a crash that pushed power lines onto the road. 

As of 2:38 a.m. Sunday morning, police say University Parkway and Patterson Ave. is closed. It expects the roadway will be closed for an extended period of time. 

Officers are encouraging drivers to use another route.
