Wendy's robbed at gunpoint in Winston-Salem, police say

Winston-Salem police said the Wendy's on 2735 Reynolda Road was robbed at gunpoint.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for the person responsible for robbing a fast-food restaurant at gunpoint in Winston-Salem Monday night. 

Officers said it happened right after 7 p.m. at the Wendy's on 2735 Reynolda Rd. When police arrived at the scene, a witness described the suspect as a black man who was about 6 feet tall wearing a blue/grey winter jacket, white sneakers, and a black fanny pack, armed with a handgun. 

Investigators said the suspect left the area with an unknown amount of money.

No one was injured during the robbery.

This investigation is ongoing. 

The Winston-Salem Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in this case. Anyone with any information regarding this incident or similar crimes is asked to call the Winston-Salem Police Department.
