6 guns including an AK-47 seized during drug bust on Tara Court in Winston-Salem, police say

Two people were hurt in a shooting at the apartment complex on Tara Court that led to a drug bust in Winston-Salem.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police said a shooting on Tara Court led to a drug and gun bust in Winston-Salem.

Two people were injured in a shooting at the apartment complex on Tara Court over the weekend. 

Police searched three units and found 5 handguns, 1 AK-47, marijuana, cocaine, and miscellaneous pills. 

Officers arrested three suspects tied to the investigation.

19-year-old Edwin Jair Colon-Echeverria was arrested and charged with:

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule IV
  • Misdemeanor Possession of Handgun by Minor
  • Misdemeanor Drug Paraphernalia
  • Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana

19-year-old Omar Cisneros-Avila was arrested and charged with:

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule IV
  • Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana

18-year-old Josue Perez Hernandez was arrested and charged with misdemeanor Maintaining a Dwelling for Use, Keeping, or Selling of a Controlled Substance.
