BURLINGTON, N.C. — A man is facing charges after a shooting that left a woman injured in Burlington.
Burlington police said they arrived at the intersection of Brown Bear Drive and Tucker Street around 12:13 a.m. April 13 and found a woman inside a car with a gunshot wound.
She was taken to the hospital.
Detectives identified the suspect as Raheem Alphonso Maynard, 28, of Burlington.
Officers said they believe Maynard was in an altercation with another person when he began shooting at a car.
Burlington police issued warrants for two counts discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle and one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Maynard surrendered and was taken into custody at the Alamance County Detention Center Wednesday. He received no bond.
