High Point Police Department still looking for driver of truck after deadly hit-and-run involving bicyclist

Police shared more details in a post on their Facebook page about the truck they believe was involved in the crash.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — The High Point Police Department is still looking for the driver of a truck after a deadly hit-and-run involving a bicyclist last Sunday.

Police said the crash happened at W. MLK Jr. Drive and Oakwood Street at about 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10., according to a post on their Facebook page.

Police shared more details about the truck they believe was involved in the crash: 

  • Believed to be a newer model (2024-2025) red Chevy Silverado 2500 HD

  • Appears to have oversized wheels and tires

  • Has tow mirrors and clearance lights

When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found the bicyclist, Michael Lee Isaac Jr., 33, of High Point, dead in the roadway.

The High Point Police Department is asking anyone with any information that could help identify the truck and driver to contact the Crimestoppers of High Point. Police said there could be a cash reward of up to $5,000.
