Man charged with first-degree murder related to Sunday night shooting on Guilford College Road

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 31-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder related to the death of a man Sunday night on Guilford College Road in Greensboro.

Jeremy Reynolds has been charged with first-degree murder and discharging a barreled firearm into an occupied dwelling/conveyance in the death of 25-year old Juquan Rakim Hamilton.

According to a press release, officers were dispatched to 423 Guilford College Road at 9:15 p.m. on Sunday night after a call of a discharged firearm. When they arrived, they found Hamilton in a crashed vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Hamilton died at the scene, according to police.

The Greensboro Police Department said this is the city's 38th homicide of 2024. For comparison, 2023 saw a record-high 74 homicides in the city.
