Police investigating homicide after man found dead on Guilford College Road on Sunday

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday night on Guilford College Road.

According to a press release, officers were dispatched to 423 Guilford College Road at 9:15 p.m. on Sunday night after a call of a discharged firearm. When they arrived, they found 25-year-old Juquan Rakim Hamilton in a crashed vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Hamilton died at the scene, according to police.

The Greensboro Police Department said this is the city's 38th homicide of 2024. For comparison, 2023 saw a record-high 74 homicides in the city.

No information about a possible suspect or a motive is known at this time.
