Deputies are searching for the suspect who allegedly broke into a Lexington church, kidnapped a pastor and his wife, and stole their car, according to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office.
On the night of Feb. 3, a man allegedly broke into the Community Fellowship Moravian Church and spent the night, deputies said.
In the morning, deputies said the suspect kidnapped the pastor and his wife by taking their car.
The suspect released the two of them on City Lake Road, near Sink Road, deputies said.
Deputies found the ditched car on Jd Essick Road and believe the suspect ran from the scene.
Deputies were notified of the incident at 10:40 a.m.
The suspect has not been located.
