Winston-Salem road reopens after driver crashes into power pole

Police said the roadway is back open.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — UPDATE: Police said the road is back open.

Winston-Salem drivers are being asked to use another route Sunday morning after a car hit a power pole. 

Police said it happened along Indiana Ave. 

According to officers, when they got there, they found one car that hit a power pole. Around 2:00 a.m. they started to repair it. 

The police department said Indiana Ave. will be closed between Home Road and Appomattox Dr. for about 3 hours.

They encourage drivers to use another route while traveling in the area.
