BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. — The Monday night episode of 'Wheel of Fortune' was notable for being Ryan Seacrest's debut as host, but it also saw a local man compete as a contestant.
Terry Watson, of Browns Summit, was one of three people competing in Monday night's episode.
Watson finished the main portion of the show in first place among the three contestants with $25,849 earned. He missed out on an extra $40,000 in the bonus round, but still walked away with a sizeable payday thanks to his skills.
Wheel of Fortune airs weekdays on WFMY News 2 at 7 p.m.
