'I Can't Wait' | Ryan Seacrest to make 'Wheel of Fortune' debut as new host

"I can't wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White," Ryan Seacrest said.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Editor's note: Video above is of Pat Sajak signing off of "Wheel of Fortune" for the last time.

Ryan Seacrest will be making his debut as the new host of "Wheel of Fortune" Monday.

This comes after longtime host Pat Sajak retired in June.

Sajak hosted the show since 1981 with Vanna White.

Seacrest will be joining White as the two forge ahead.

"I can't wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White," Seacrest said in a social media post when the news was first announced.

Seacrest previously served as co-host on "Live with Kelly and Ryan," and as host of "American Idol".

Watch "Wheel of Fortune" weekdays at 7 p.m. on WFMY News 2.
