John Downs sent us a magical Christmas scene from his home in Valle Crucis near Boone.
Craig Lancaster hiked in Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia - just across the North Carolina border - where he got a glimpse of wild ponies enjoying the snow.
Steve Marks also had a snowy scene at his home in Vilas, NC - also near Boone.
It's been a really long time since the Piedmont Triad has seen a measurable snowfall, but the WFMY News 2 Weather Team thinks it's possible that could change this season. Check out their Winter Weather Forecast. While more snow is expected, temperatures are likely to be close to average. On average, the Piedmont-Triad sees about 7-8" of snow in a typical winter.
