Thomasville accepting donations for Helene victims

The donation tent will be open 24-7.

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Looking for more ways to help the victims of Helene in western North Carolina? There's a place in Thomasville you can now donate to.

According to Thomasville Rescue Chief Rusty Goins, a tent has been set up at 212 Pine Street in Thomasville to accept donations. 

Goins said the tent will accept "anything and everything," from food, to clothes, to cash donations.

WFMY News 2 has also compiled a list of vetted organizations already involved in delivering aid to western North Carolina. You can check out that list here.

WFMY News 2 is partnering with the American Red Cross to hold a phone bank on Monday to support western North Carolina. 

The phone bank will be during our evening newscasts on Monday, Sept. 30 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
