WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Pop-up storms have caused major damage in the Triad Thursday afternoon.

This video was posted by Winston-Salem's fire department on the 1800 block of Queen St. in Winston-Salem. The road there is blocked, officials said.

Guilford County has reported at least 5,500 people are without power due to the storms.

The storm moved quickly into the Triad, and it looks like it will be sticking around through the early evening:
