GREENSBORO, N.C. — Tropical Storm Helene has had the largest impact on western North Carolina, but the Piedmont Triad has also seen its fair share of severe weather over the past two days.
Here's a look at some of the areas around our area impacted by Helene:
Guilford County
Many areas of Guilford County have been impacted by Hurricane Helene. Here's a look at Duke Energy's Power Outage map for the area as of 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
In Greensboro, the storm caused a tree to fall on a house on East Lake Drive. Crews were on scene shortly after noon Friday. Here's a closer look at the damage.

WFMY News 2 spoke to tree removal company, the owner tells us they had several service calls throughout the Triad and the tree fell on top of the roof.
"We were able to come in and get the tree off, we put a tarp on the roof and it ensures there would not be any further damage after the service is done," owner of God's Way Tree Service Jay Milton said.
According to the Greensboro Police Department, they received 16 calls for downed trees between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday because of Hurricane Helene. They also received calls for service on nine accidents and four traffic light outages during that period of time.
One of the areas that saw outages Friday was along West Wendover Ave. and South Holden Road in Greensboro.

The water levels at Latham Park were high on Friday morning. A WFMY News 2 reporter spoke with a man who has lived in the neighborhood for 30 years as he was removing sticks and debris from his yard.
"Once the creek reaches a certain level, the water will not flow out of here because of the pressure. So I try to clear it out before it gets to that amount," neighbor Warren Denby shared.

In northern Greensboro, a large tree fell across US 220 in front of the Center for Creative Leadership. A receptionist at Center for Creative Leadership told WFMY News 2 the building shook when it fell down.
The City of Greensboro already has crews on the scene trying to remove the tree from the roadway.
