CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C. — An American flag placed on top of Chimney Rock is giving those in Western North Carolina hope.
Chimney Rock in Rutherford County was one of the areas that experienced damage in the aftermath of Helene.
The Chimney Rock State Park posted a photo of the flag atop Chimney Rock, which their team journeyed to the area to place, in a social media post.
They said the flag is a beacon of hope in the midst of unimaginable tragedy.
