We've all see the images of destruction across North Carolina -- people rescued from their homes as floodwaters rise, trees tearing through roofs, evacuees seeking shelter far from home.
It can be hard to look at. But amid all the chaos, there's hope. Businesses, organization, and individuals have lent a hand to people hit by Florence all across the Carolinas.
Donate to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund set up by the state of North Carolina to help with rebuilding efforts.
Make a donation at Harris Teeter. The grocery chain is matching shopper donations up to $125,000 made inside Harris Teeter stores through Sept. 30. One hundred percent of the in-store donations will go to the Red Cross.
Bring a donation to the Jerry Hunt SuperCenter in Lexington Friday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds Annex in Winston-Salem on Monday, Sept. 24, to 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the Supercenter until Monday. Majic 99.9 FM, Jerry Hunt Supercenter, the Dixie Classic Fair and the Carolina Thunderbirds are partnering with Operation North State to help storm victims.
Buy a Panthers "#CAREolinas" shirt. The Panthers partnered with VisitNC to raise money for the governor's North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and the Central Carolina Community Foundation by selling t-shirts that celebrate Carolina unity.
Bring a donation item to the Carolina Hurricanes to the PNC arena and you can get vouchers for two tickets to a preseason game on Sept. 19 or Sept. 21.

FEMA runs Citizen Corps, which you can get involved in.
The Red Cross is also taking volunteers to go to places in both South and North Carolina. You can sign up here.
