GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Salvation Army of Greater Winston-Salem and The Salvation Army of Greensboro is sending a team to Charleston, SC. in advance of Hurricane Dorian. The storm is on track to cause problems along the Carolinas.
An Emergency Disaster Services team from Greensboro will take the Winston-Salem Mobile Feeding Unit, stock it with food and water, to aid first responders.
The canteen was supposed to leave the Triad on Monday but has been delayed because of the late arrival of some of the supplies. The team will now be leaving from Greensboro at 7 am on Tuesday and is expected to arrive in Charleston by noon.
